Good Friday Field Day 2nd April
We are excited that there has been a return to play but we first need to give the field a bit of TLC. Unfortunately, the field is not magically ready at the start of the season, we do rely on everyone in the clubs hard work and efforts on days like this coming Friday to get the field ready to train on. So this Friday we are meeting at the container at 10am to do some work on the field, Please bring hand sanitiser, a mask and work/gardening gloves if you have them.
Richmond Baseball Spring Traning 2021
We are excited that there has been a return to play announcement by the government and the BBF, so we will see some baseball in very very soon.
Boris has given sport the nod! BBF has given us the green light. So spring training is set and is only a little over a week away and will begin this Easter, 10am Easter Sunday to be exact. On that Sunday can we meet near the container at 10am while maintaining social distancing.
Please note we still need to expect government guidelines before, during and after practice. So before and after practice we need to stick to government guidance and not be in groups or more than 6 people. This means there will be socialised as a group before or after practice. However, during practice, we are free to play, hit, throw, while trying to maintain 2m social distance from each other at all times that is feasible.
Spring training will be much short this year as we are still trying to get a full season in, so while the schedule is still finalised there is an aim to get the season started the first weekend of May.
Looking forward to seeing people again and you all at the baseball field!
