London Fall League
I just wanted to let you know about the London Mets Baseball Club's Finsbury Park Fall Ball League that the London Mets Club runs as an add-on to the BBF Season. I have played in it since its inception, and even won the first "championship", and usually there are about 10%-15% of non-London players.
The Finsbury Park Fall Ball League is designed to encourage players to continue to improve by playing baseball year round and part of everyone's continuing endeavour to offer baseball opportunities after the BBF regular season. It runs from 15 September through the last weekend in October, is played exclusively at Finsbury Park, and features players from all skill levels from NBL though single-A and 14+ youth in fun-and-friendly games.
Each team is composed of around 12-15 players with a mix of ages and skill levels, run by an experienced player-coach who is able to provide guidance, support, and coaching while encouraging players to get as many reps as possible. Teams are scheduled to play about 12 games over the season on Saturday and/or Sunday each weekend with free substitutions and an "everyone bats" lineup to ensure that everyone gets quality playing time.
The fee for the 2018 Finsbury Park Fall Ball League is £40 and includes a t-shirt, and seven weekends of baseball (weather permitting).
Registration for Fall Ball is now open here: http://tinyurl.com/FinsburyParkFallBall2018
I encourage early registration--the league has sold out the past few years and preference will go to London players. There is an option to indicate if you want to be on the same team as other players so those coming from similar areas can save on transport costs and hassle. I tend to say "other Richmond players".
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Cole Ryan (info@LondonMets.org) or myself.
Thanks,
Dave
